Online Innovators Endeavor to Expand Internet

Palm Harbor, Fla. (PRWEB) May 28, 2008 -- Clear Blue Interactive, the innovative technology company aimed at leveraging collaboration technologies and "wiki" community principles to turn public records into useful social media, announced today the official launch of its business as well as its corporate website. The website, which can be found at http://www.clearblueinteractive.com, outlines the basis of the inventive new technology and conveys the energetic idea-incubating culture promoted by the new company.

The company is founded by Internet entrepreneur Scott P. Mitchell who has a long history of successful web-based ventures. Mr. Mitchell began his career as a technology consultant for Arthur Andersen, LLP where he helped guide Fortune 100 companies through the Internet and technology boom of the 1990's. He went on from Arthur Andersen to Tunes.com, where he launched RollingStone.com, TheSource.com, and DownBeatJazz.com developing Tunes.com to become the Internet's leading music destination network. After Tunes.com's sale in 1999 to publicly traded EMusic.com for $180 million, Scott began working with Barry Diller's Interactive Corporation and launched HSN.com, the online presence for Home Shopping Network. In less than two years, HSN.com grew from a start-up into one of Interactive's fastest growing and most profitable web properties. From August of 2004 until April 2008 Mr. Mitchell helped raise $97 Million in debt and equity and closed 15 acquisitions to create what is now Think Partnership, d/b/a Kowabunga! (Amex:THK). Scott resigned his position as President and CEO of Kowabunga! in April of 2008 and started Clear Blue Interactive.

"Much of the data generated today is in the form of public records which are so void of context, relevance, and substance that they cannot even be effectively indexed by even the best search engine algorithms," said Scott P. Mitchell, president and chief executive officer of Clear Blue Interactive. "Through the leverage of various proprietary collaborative technologies currently under development, Clear Blue Interactive aims at turning this virtually meaningless data into social media that can be reused to propagate knowledge."

Clear Blue Interactive expects most of its revenue to be generated through data subscription services. The company is in the process of establishing an Advisory Board made up of experts in the fields of knowledge management and collaborative technologies. The launch of Clear Blue Interactive's Synapse technology is planned for later this year accompanied by the first live online implementation of the technology in a production environment. The new Synapse technology is expected to be the next break-through solution to harvesting the "deep web" since the latest implementation of indexing algorithms by major search engines.
