"It's never too late to change careers or start a new one," states Carlos Warner, owner of his new online business. This enterprising entrepreneur retired in 2000 as a marketing executive from a newspaper in Florida. "Retirement was far less stressful than the 24/7 job I held," Warner continues, "but after eight years of golfing, fishing, traveling, and painting the house over and over, I felt compelled to rejoin the work force again, this time from my home. The best thing I like about my new business is I can go to work in my own home and at my own pace, not someone else's."

This senior entrepreneur got the idea of starting his online business after watching a television newscast about Internet sponsored income, and began searching the Internet to learn whether or not he was computer-literate enough to use his computer as a business store front. "I was accomplished in working with several office programs, but never thought I would be able to achieve the kind of computer mobility I now have, especially at the age of 68. I have surprised myself," said Warner.

After numerous searches, Warner contacted a web site business building company to get information on how to start an online business and purchased a web builder and coaching program that literally walked him through the training process for launching his site. His work began in January learning how to list, sell and buy on E-bay. During the next four months he was introduced to numerous tools and resources which helped him build his site and focus on niche marketing. Once completing the marketing process The Cooking Suite was launched.

In the year 2000, Warner underwent triple bypass surgery to relieve clogged arteries created mostly from an unhealthy diet and sedentary lifestyle. "This experience proved to me that I needed to adjust to healthier eating and more exercise," Warner admitted, "Selecting my niche website products was a no-brainer for me. All of the products I distribute encourage healthier cooking, which is 75% of the equation towards a healthier lifestyle. I feel so much better because of eating healthier that now the exercise part comes far easier than before."

Warner's wife is a retired nursed and has been supportive of the niche he chose. "Being 68 years young never entered my husband's mind when he started his adventure. He just trudged on like he was 38," Warner's wife added. Warner's wife uses products offered on The Cooking Suite to experiment with new cooking methods and recipes, trying to adjust each one to meet their dietary goals. She also serves as The Cooking Suite's test kitchen Chef and includes her special recipes on the site.
