The WebAwards is an international competition that selects the best Web sites in 96 industries while setting the standard of excellence for all Web site development. Sites are judged on seven criteria including design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copy and ease of use.
Trek Bicycle's Lime Bike Launch site (http://www.trekbikes.com/lime) was named Best Marketing Web Site, meaning it received the highest score in the marketing category. The site, which was recognized for its beautiful, dynamic design and outstanding use of online technology, was created as part of an integrated campaign that included advertising, public relations, POS and events.
Johnson Outdoors' Extrasport (http://www.extrasport.com) and Escape Watercraft (http://www.escapewatercraft.com) sites were named Outstanding Web sites in the consumer goods and B2B categories respectively. An "Outstanding" designation indicates that the site earned at least 60 out of a possible 70 points. Both sites were lauded for outstanding design, content and ease of use.
