Having once believed that he would someday take over the family pharmacy, Kramm never thought that the birth of his second daughter, Hadley, would forever impact the lives of millions. A few short days after birth, Hadley was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and a seizure disorder, a condition that would plague her life with innumerous doctor appointments, hospital visits and inevitably, a long list of medications. Because of its bitter taste, Hadley was physically unable to swallow a life-saving anti-seizure medication. Feeling powerless against the detriment of his daughter's health, and no longer able to endure putting his daughter through emergency room visits and unnecessary trauma, Kramm and his father retreated to the family pharmacy to find a solution. By manipulating candy flavorings, the two were able to derive a formulation for a flavoring that would be able to safely flavor Hadley's medication without affecting stability or efficacy. 10 years later, the company has successfully created a menu of 42 medically-designed and scientifically-tested flavors able to flavor over 400 medications, and has flavored over 40 million prescriptions without any incidence of allergy, adverse reaction or changes in efficacy.
